Football: from the Champions League to local leagues
Football takes up most of the 888starz line: the European top leagues, the Champions League and Europa League, national cups, Asian and South American championships, down to the lower divisions. A popular match carries around 30 markets: outcome, double chance, totals and handicaps, both teams to score, correct score, corners, cards, goals by named players. Standard settlement is on regular time; extra-time markets are labelled separately. For a beginner football is convenient precisely because of the range: there is always a simple bet with clear logic.
Tennis and basketball: games without a draw
Tennis and basketball have no draw, so the core market is the two-way winner. Tennis adds game totals, game and set handicaps and correct set scores; it is important to know the settlement rules for retirements — some markets are returned. Basketball offers totals and handicaps on the match and by quarter, and the outcome is usually settled with overtime. Both sports suit live: matches are long and odds move smoothly.

Hockey and volleyball: periods and sets
Hockey settles on regular time or with overtime — these are different markets in the line, and mixing them up is costly. Beyond the outcome and totals there are period bets: winner of the first period, totals by period. Volleyball is about sets: match winner, correct score by sets, point totals in a set. In both sports the main risk is inattention to the market wording, not to the match itself.
Cricket and UFC: markets football does not have
Cricket is the second-largest sport in the line for South Asia: run totals, wicket counts, top batsman, match winner. Matches are long and live markets stay open for hours. UFC and other combat sports offer the winner, the method of victory (KO, submission, decision), the finishing round and ‘will the fight go the distance’. Few events, but each has a clear market structure. Before betting on an unfamiliar sport, open the operator’s settlement rules for it — they are short and answer most questions.

Esports and virtual sports
Esports has its own section: CS2, Dota 2, League of Legends and other disciplines, with markets for match and map winner, map totals, map handicaps, first blood and the like. Live esports is available and the odds move fast. Virtual sports are generated matches and races on a schedule every few minutes; they are not real events, but the bets count in the sports promos. Both sections count towards wagering Welcome Sport and the 3% Tuesday cashback.
Which sport to start with
Start with what you watch and understand: knowing the tournament is worth more than any statistic. If you watch everything, start with football: more markets, a lower margin on top matches, easier odds comparison. First bets — singles on main outcomes; accumulators come later, when a bonus needs wagering (three events at odds of 1.4 or more).
